Eran de Vries (1975) heads the Israel Desk of DFLS Legal & Tax. Eran was admitted as a lawyer in the State of Israel in 2004; In 2008, he was sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law in the State of New York, United States of America.

Eran established a legal practice in Israel and advised both entities and private individuals concerning a wide range of legal and tax aspects of Israeli law. During this period, he was also permanently employed as a legal adviser to the Israeli Ministry of Justice (the office of the Attorney General) and was appointed as the legal counsel of the Fund of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) for those in need.

In 2008, Eran (having Dutch roots) relocated to the Netherlands and joined as a member of a legal and tax practice of lawyers, tax advisors and civil-law notary in Amsterdam, in which he initiated and headed the Israel Desk of the firm.  Since 2015, he manages the Israel Desk practice in DFLS Legal & Tax.

From an Israeli perspective, Eran advises our clients with respect to Israeli law in the broadest sense, with regard to both legal and fiscal matters, and assists in various procedures in the country, litigation and arbitration procedures. He specialises in contract law and corporate law, and versed in negotiations processes, and has vast experience in real estate transactions, employment and immigration issues.

Eran’s expertise and knowledge of both legal and tax systems, and his many contacts there, makes him a valuable partner for our clients with social and / or economic ties to the State of Israel.  Through all stages of our clients’ growth, his dynamic and pragmatic approach brings distinct added value to obtain our clients strategic goals, while providing a high quality service and practical solutions in their native language.

In his free time, Eran is involved in various voluntary activities and he is the co-founder and chairman of the ARZI foundation, The Voice of Israelis in the Netherlands foundation, as well as the Israeli-Dutch Business Club.
